Tony's fashion career has been all about the old and the new. He opened his first vintage store The Looking Glass in 1984 and, looking back now, he says "owning a vintage store was a great education on the history and the construction of garments."

After cutting his teeth in the area of vintage in the 1980s, he expanded his repertoire to include the current collections of the up-and-coming designers of the early 1990s , such as Todd Oldham, Body Map, and Betsey Johnson. These regular trips to New York City gave Tony the opportunity to train his eye and eventually amass a loyal, and elegant, clientele.

As his aesthetic developed, so did his business in Manhattan. Tony met with the major fashion design houses at their private ateliers and was selected to attend the runways shows of NYFW in the tents of Bryant Park. He brought the collections of Alexander McQueen, Lanvin, Givenchy, and many more, to his retail store and private studio.

Tony’s knowledge of fashion, and the history behind it, brought him back to his first love, vintage. Thanks to 1stdibs, the premiere global luxury marketplace for fashion, Tony's clientele expanded worldwide to include stylists, collectors, and museums.

Nestled in the penthouse of the Bertke Electric Building, Tony collects interesting vintage items and searches for pieces destined to be the vintage of the future.
